Ozi: Voice of the Forest is an inspiring tale suitable for audiences of all ages, making it a perfect family event. The story follows a young orangutan named Ozi, who embarks on an adventurous journey through the rapidly disappearing rainforests of Borneo, raising awareness of the threats to her species and the environment. The film combines heartwarming storytelling with important messages about conservation and the protection of endangered species.

The film has not yet been released in the United States, adding to the excitement of this exclusive screening. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a reception and silent auction, while meeting Dr. Gary Shapiro, co-founder and president of OURF, who will be signing copies of his new book, "Out of the Cage." Dr. Shapiro’s decades-long work with orangutans has contributed to global conservation efforts, and his new book chronicles his remarkable journey with these intelligent creatures.

Children and families are especially encouraged to attend, with ticket prices set at $45 for children 12 and under, making it an accessible event for young audiences eager to learn more about wildlife conservation.

“This fundraiser is not only an opportunity to support the critical work we’re doing to save wild orangutans, but also a chance to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards,” said Dr. Shapiro. “Ozi: Voice of the Forest offers an engaging way for families to connect with the important issue of rainforest conservation.”

Ticket prices for adults are $75, with an Early Bjrd discount of $60. VIP tickets ($125) provide premium seating and a signed hardback copy of Dr. Shapiro's new book. Sponsorship levels are also available for those interested in making a greater impact. The funds raised from the event will go toward the foundation’s various educational and conservation efforts, including the Orangutan Caring Scholarship Program, which empowers Indonesian students to pursue careers in conservation.
